I have developed one content-based material which is useful or beneficial for the learners and for the teachers as well. So basically, I will be taking you through the description of how it's made, it's use, and one learning activity based on the material.
Creation of the material
The content-based material that I have designed is
mainly for the purpose to learn “The Four Seasons of the Year” for grade II. I
have designed this material by using software known as ‘canva’. We can use the
software for any purpose and especially for the purpose of teaching and
learning in the classroom. Moreover it is free software, so we do not need to
worry about the cost. Initially, I have chosen only the words to represent and
deliver the lesson. But later, the pictures came into my mind for children to understand
each season better. So this is where I searched the appropriate pictures for
each season under the element feature and the words and the pictures got
together thereafter.
How to use?
To all my viewers, if you are wondering how this content-based material can be used, I am going to share it right here. This particular content-based material can be used by a teacher to take the students through the four seasons of the year. Along with the spellings of each season, the teacher can show the pictures to get a clear understanding. The teacher can use it to introduce the lesson or when introducing each seasons. The children can get a clear idea of what each season looks like when they are shown the pictures accordingly. Moreover they can share each of their experiences during each season and share their favorite season as well.
LearningThis activity requires the students to look at the pictures at the left side of the worksheet and read the season to the right. After that, they are going to draw the lines to match the pictures to the correct seasons. For this activity, the students will be provided five minutes to complete the work.
