I have developed one content-based material which is useful or beneficial for the learners and for the teachers as well. So basically, I will be taking you through the description of how it's made, it's use, and one learning activity based on the material.

Creation of the material

The content-based material that I have designed is mainly for the purpose to learn “The Four Seasons of the Year” for grade II. I have designed this material by using software known as ‘canva’. We can use the software for any purpose and especially for the purpose of teaching and learning in the classroom. Moreover it is free software, so we do not need to worry about the cost. Initially, I have chosen only the words to represent and deliver the lesson. But later, the pictures came into my mind for children to understand each season better. So this is where I searched the appropriate pictures for each season under the element feature and the words and the pictures got together thereafter.

How to use?

To all my viewers, if you are wondering how this content-based material can be used, I am going to share it right here. This particular content-based material can be used by a teacher to take the students through the four seasons of the year. Along with the spellings of each season, the teacher can show the pictures to get a clear understanding.  The teacher can use it to introduce the lesson or when introducing each seasons. The children can get a clear idea of what each season looks like when they are shown the pictures accordingly. Moreover they can share each of their experiences during each season and share their favorite season as well.

Learning Activity

This activity requires the students to look at the pictures at the left side of the worksheet and read the season to the right. After that, they are going to draw the lines to match the pictures to the correct seasons. For this activity, the students will be provided five minutes to complete the work.

Hello Everyone,
I am Karma Dema currently studying at Paro College of Education under Royal University of Bhutan. I am pursuing Bachelors in Education. This is the final year and final semester I will be studying here. These four years have taught me so many things. I did my higher studies at Baylling Central School, Trashiyangtse.

I am from Shingkhar Lauri which is based in Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag, Bhutan. It borders with Assam to the South and to the east, it borders with Arunachal Pradesh, India. Our village have Trashigang to the North and Bangtar to the west. I did my primary studies at Minjiwoong Lower Secondary School. Back in our times when we didn't have motorable roads, we had to walk approximately for 2 hours from my village.
During leisure times, I like engaging myself with music by singing. I also like to compose songs and tunes when bored. Most of all, I like listening to songs of my favorite artists. Though I am not fully a talented kind of a singer, I like entertaining my viewers and listeners by singing songs and uploading in my page. Moreover I enjoy when I stand amidst my busy schedules as it relieves my worries and get strength to further move on.

Besides music, I like hiking with my friends to new places and explore. It cleanses my mind and not to forget, spending a quality time with my friends has never been a waste. Whenever holidays are on our way, we do not fail to plan on visiting a site or any sacred place and make our presence. This trend has never bored me as I have got really good friends to laugh and enjoy around. Additionally walking around the nature has provided me the best healing because of its beauty and its pleasant aroma.

Finally the best thing that has ever happened to me this whole time is getting to study in this college. I must say that initially I didn't feel that fortunate upon the fact that I will be studying at this college. But as I mentioned earlier, these four years of stay have taught me to feel how fortunate I am to educate and bring a good reform in the lives of children. Not only that but also the times that I spent with my students have invoked in me a sense of love for children and an interest in teaching and having funs with them. This overall has brought me up to this extend which I am truly grateful to the college.
Thank You!
Happy Reading!
