 Class: V

Topic: Change of states

Subject: Science

The lesson objectives are a child will be able to explain the process of change of states correctly after the video lesson and recognize the process of change of states in real life situations appropriately after the lesson.

The main tool that I have used to develop this material is Simulation and PowerPoint Presentation along with the voice. Using simulation, we can deliver any kinds of lesson smoothly and to the level of student’s understanding.

Creation of the Material

First of all I have prepared a PowerPoint presentation about Change of States and then only I did voice narration. For the better presentation and for more understanding, I adjusted the timing and many other features present in PowerPoint Presentation.  I have also supported the concepts using the real life examples to further add on their understanding. Another material I have developed is simulated video of change of states. For this, I have used different shapes to represent each states of matter and used animations to show the change with the help of directional arrow. All this steps and features contributed to this material.

When should the materials be used?

The materials can be used during lesson introduction and lesson development. The video can aid in information input under lesson development in teaching the concepts to students because all the information are clearly explained with voice narration along with the video. The teacher can use it to introduce the concepts of change of states. The teacher can even show the simulated video during lesson development to have a better understanding of the topic.

Activity instructions:

1)            The activity will be done in pairs.

2)            One of the partners will read the definition of any change of states and the other will tell the name of the change of states.

3)            The roles will be exchanged simultaneously.

4)            After you are done telling, note the words down in your notebook.

5)            For this activity, you will be given ten minutes.
